You do not need an app or social media account in order to enjoy My Pets Text™ membership. We keep it simple, embracing the joys of pet ownership without adding a lot of distraction to your day. We are a text message service, not a social media platform, although the messages you receive are yours to share however you choose.

We use a credit-based system that uses a set number of credits depending on the type of text message you receive. For example, a message with an image and text equals 3 credits. A message with only text and no image is 1 credit. You can also receive a message with just an image for 2 credits. You can choose the schedule and frequency of text messages (up to 4 times a day) when you register and make changes at any time. We also allow for a randomization of message types, where you will receive a mix of text only, image only, and image and text messages.

Our system uses details about your pet and the area where you live to personalize the messages you receive, making them more fun and relatable. However, we don’t have the bandwidth to teach everyone’s dog how to send a text, so we’ve harnessed the power of generative AI instead. Collecting feedback over time will help make the texts more realistic.

We have designed the service to be family-friendly and free from any profanity or inappropriate content. If you do come across a message that is questionable, please bring it to our attention via the feedback form on mypetstext.com or email us at support@mypetstext.com.

Yes, you would need to create a separate profile for each pet. The credits needed for each pet’s text message will be combined, then the total will be subtracted from the available credits in your account. Each pet will receive a different phone number, so you can customize your contacts to show your pet's name as the message sender. You can register up to 10 pets per account.

No, not exactly. The images you receive will be generated based on the information you provide in your pet’s profile. Our system uses a combination of the typical characteristics of the breed/s of your pet, plus the descriptions you provide in your pet’s individual profile, such as color and markings. If it’s not a great match, you’re welcome to modify your pet’s profile at any time. We value your feedback and hope over time to get the images to look more and more like your actual pet. We plan on offering a customized service by the end of the year that will allow you to upload images so we can capture your pet's likeness better. Stay tuned for that feature!

If you have an individual account, no one else will get the same texts that you do. If you have a family plan, everyone on that account will get the same text message at the same time. It’s a great way to stay connected as a family or household. After you receive a text message, you are welcome to share it however you like.

We use a credit-based system that uses a set number of credits depending on the type of text message you receive. For example, a text with an image equals 3 credits. A simple message text costs 1 credit, and one with just an image 2 credits. Subscriptions are available at 3 levels: Starter [40 credits for $3.45/month], Basic Plan [65 credits for $4.95/month cost] and Family [150 credits for $9.75/month]. By choosing an annual plan you can save 10% to 30% on the cost of monthly plans. Each credit costs between $0.05 and $0.10 per credit, depending on the plan or number of credits you buy. We are making this a paid service, so we don’t have to send you text message ads or share your data with anyone.

You can add up to 10 family members or friends to one account.

Yes, login to your account on mypetstext.com and follow the prompts for making changes to your subscription. You can stop text messages on your phone by sending the word STOP. This will not cancel your subscription, just stops you from receiving texts from that pet. You must login on the website to cancel your subscription.

Yes, the messages you receive are yours to share however you decide. You can share your favorites via text, email, social media platform or carrier pigeon.

By signing in at MyPetsText.com you can review all the messages you have received in the gallery for each pet. On each message there will be an option you can check to make the message public. By selecting the Share icon your message will be added to our public gallery. You also have the option to share messages directly from your phone through your texting app or by downloading the message and/or image and they uploading it to your social media platform of choice.

Yes! We love feedback and welcome all ratings and comments, both positive and negative. Your opinions will benefit the integrity of the product and the experience for all users. Thank you in advance for your participation! You can provide feedback by logging into your account and viewing the messages within your pet's Gallery. There you will see Like/Dislike icons that you can select for the image and separately for the text message. You may also add a comment for each message. We will review these and use this feedback to improve our user's experience.

The current version of My Pets Text™ offers still images and text messages only. Video may become available in the future, so stay tuned!

No, your personal and pet information will not be shared with or sold to third parties. Part of the reason the service costs money is that we have decided not to engage with advertisers or investors. This model allows us to keep private information from our customers completely confidential.
